Daily rate contract (6 month initial contract, with a strong likelihood of extension/conversion to permanent) available for a UX Designer/Researcher with experience designing data-heavy and operational tools. Hybrid role based in Sydney, Brisbane or Perth.

Our client is a fast-growing AI consultancy specialising in AWS-backed agentic AI solutions, delivering AI and data projects for national and international clients. The engagement is with a major global enterprise looking to add an AI-assisted intelligence layer to an existing reporting system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Researching how users utilise the existing reporting & alerts system, through interviews, observation and workshops, and documenting the process and current UX challenges
• Working with the solution architect and business analyst so designs are feasible and aligned with requirements, building rapid prototypes together to use as tangible assets for discussion
• Designing workflows, wireframes and interactive prototypes for the future-state AI-assisted experience, including AI features on AWS: asset health views, predictions, alerts and insights
• Designing for trust and usability, including how predictions, confidence and explanations are shown, and how to avoid alert fatigue

About You:

• UX or product designer who can run user research end to end, including with technical users
• Portfolio of complex, data-heavy or operational tools, such as dashboards or alert systems
• Highly desirable: experience designing AI-driven interfaces (predictions, recommendations, confidence and explainability) and prototyping AI features
• Comfortable working in large enterprise environments

$600-$700/day incl. super, flexibility above this range depending on experience.
